कमानि हॖंदि टंकारॖ सॗत्य करतॖ मॉज असि रक्षा
छुय नमसकार जय जयकार बारमबार हे माता |

Diwali is always a magical time, echoing the traditions recorded in the Nilmata Purana. This year, I’m celebrating Diwali at home with my mother Smt. Nirmala ji, my wife Surabhi and my two daughters Sharanya and Shanaya. We recently had a vibrant Diwali celebration with extended Bay area KOA family. It’s always a special experience to connect with our community, share our heritage, and strengthen our bonds.

I strongly believe that it is vitally important to take the strong roots of our Kashmiri heritage, cultivate it in each of our homes, and share the fruits of our traditions with our local communities.

But just as importantly, I envision a future where we, as one nation-wide biradari, can celebrate more of our festivals together. Reconnecting with our homeland by strengthening roots right here in the US.
